El Ciclo de Música por la Paz – Festival Ubuntu 2024 en Altea, nos va a traer a grandes artistas de varios continentes, artistas que promueven los valores de paz, espiritualidad, altruismo y comunidad. Algunos de estos artistas trabajan directamente con comunidades que sufren violencia sistémica, otros promueven estos valores allá dónde van con su música, y tod@s están comprometidos con plantar semillas de paz y transformación. Pronto confirmaremos a tod@s los artist@s aquí y en nuestras redes sociales.

En un mundo en el siguen emergiendo conflictos bélicos y sociales, la música es un refugio de transformación y unidad que nos permite celebrar la belleza de la diversidad, y amplificar los valores prosociales y humanitarios que nos conectan con nosotros mismos, con l@s demás y con la Naturaleza.

En este ciclo podremos apoyar a artistas que hacen un gran trabajo social en diferentes rincones del planeta, y financiar la formación de futuros líderes con valores a través del trabajo de Espacio Ubuntu y otras ONGs hermanas trabajando en Palestina, Congo, India o Argentina. 

VALORES DEL CICLO DE CONCIERTOS

Multiculturalidad y Celebración de la diversidad: por desgracia nuestra sociedad aún sufre de racismo y xenofobia. Por múltiples razones una parte de la sociedad sigue mirando a lo diferente con miedo, y eso dificulta nuestra capacidad colectiva para aprender de la diversidad y abrazar todo su potencial.

La multiculturalidad promueve un espacio de búsqueda común, en el que podemos aprender de los demás y aportar nuestra experiencia y perspectiva con tolerancia. En el Ciclo Solidario nos inspiraremos con perspectivas culturales diferentes, y aportaremos también nuestras propias perspectivas, practicando el diálogo y la convivencia multicultural para nuestro día a día en la sociedad.

Cambio Interior, Cambio Social: en nuestra perspectiva el cambio interior va de la mano del cambio social y viceversa. Como dice un amigo: ‘necesitamos más meditadores activos socialmente, y necesitamos más activistas conscientes de su mundo interior’. En la interacción entre ambos mundos descubrimos la magia de la transformación: nuestra propia transformación y la transformación de la sociedad hacia el bien común.

Ubuntu: solidaridad, comunidad: el principio africano ‘ubuntu’ significa ‘tu eres, entonces yo soy’. Otras culturas también hablan de sinónimos como el principio del interser, e incluso la ciencia moderna explica de forma clarividente nuestra interconexión con la Naturaleza y los demás. Desde la perspectiva de que todos estamos conectados y de que nuestra felicidad depende de la de los demás, el principio Ubuntu promueve la solidaridad y el apoyo mutuo.

Sostenibilidad Ambiental- Conexión con la Tierra: el principio ubuntu en este contexto se expande también al resto de seres vivos, a nuestros ecosistemas, y al planeta en su conjunto. La compasión hacia el resto de seres sintientes es un horizonte que queremos expandir, sensibilizando sobre formas más respetuosas de relacionarse con ell@s, y también con nuestros ecosistemas (de los que dependemos) y con el planeta tierra, nuestra casa.

¿CUÁNDO Y CÓMO?

El ciclo consistirá de al menos 4 conciertos este año, y tendrá lugar en el maravilloso municipio de Altea, Alicante.

Los conciertos se ofrecerán en el paradigma de la economía altruista, y tendrán una contribución de referencia, aunque los asistentes podréis elegir si queréis contribuir más o menos. Todos los fondos irán destinados a la financiación de las actividades de Espacio Ubuntu, en especial al programa Ahimsa 3.0, que empoderará a líderes comunitarios y activistas por la paz de zonas afectadas por la desigualdad y/o los conflictos. Además se financiarán directamente iniciativas locales en lugares como Palestina, India o RD del Congo.

Antes y después de los conciertos tendremos oportunidades de conectar un@s con otr@s, conocer a la comunidad local y fortalecer los lazos de una emergente ecología altruista en Altea y alrededores. ¡Puedes proponernos tus ideas!

The Music for Peace Series – UBUNTU FESTIVAL 2024 in Altea will bring us great artists from various continents, artists who promote the values of peace, spirituality, altruism and community. Some of these artists work directly with communities suffering from systemic violence, others promote these values wherever they go with their music, and all are committed to planting seeds of peace and transformation. We will confirm all the artists here and on our social media soon.

In a world where war and social conflict continue to emerge, music is a refuge of transformation and unity that allows us to celebrate the beauty of diversity, and amplifies the pro-social and humanitarian values that connect us to ourselves, to others and to Nature.

In this Series we will be able to support artists who do great social work in different corners of the planet and finance the training of value based transformative leadership through the work of Espacio Ubuntu and other sister NGOs working in Palestine, Congo, India or Argentina.

VALUES OF THE CONCERT SERIES

Multiculturalism and Celebration of Diversity: unfortunately our society still suffers from racism and xenophobia. For multiple reasons a part of society still looks at what is different with fear, and this hinders our collective ability to learn from diversity and embrace its full potential. Multiculturalism promotes a space of common search, where we can learn from each other and contribute our experience and perspective with tolerance. In UBUNTU FESTIVAL we will be inspired by different cultural perspectives, and we will bring our own perspectives, practising dialogue and multicultural coexistence that can be applied in our daily life.

Inner Change, Social Change: in our perspective inner change goes hand in hand with social change and vice versa. As a friend says: ‘we need more socially active meditators, and we need more activists aware of their inner world’. In the interplay between the two worlds we discover the magic of transformation: our own transformation and the transformation of society towards the common good.

Ubuntu: solidarity, community: the African principle ‘ubuntu’ means ‘you are, therefore I am’. Other cultures also speak of synonyms such as the principle of interbeing, and even modern science clairvoyantly explains our interconnectedness with Nature and others. From the perspective that we are all connected and that our happiness depends on the happiness of others, the Ubuntu principle promotes solidarity and mutual support.

Environmental Sustainability – Connection with the Earth: the ubuntu principle in this context also expands to all other living beings, our ecosystems, and the planet as a whole. Compassion towards other sentient beings is a horizon that we want to expand, raising awareness of more respectful ways of relating to other species, to our ecosystems (on which we depend) and to planet earth, our home.

WHEN AND HOW?

The series will consist of at least 4 concerts this year, and will take place in the wonderful town of Altea, Alicante.

The concerts will be offered in the paradigm of the gift economy, and will have a reference contribution, although the attendees will be able to choose if they want to contribute more or less. All funds will go to finance the activities of Espacio Ubuntu, especially the Ahimsa 3.0 programme, which will empower community leaders and peace activists in areas affected by inequality and/or conflict. In addition, local initiatives in places like Palestine, India or DR Congo will be directly funded.

Before and after the concerts we will have opportunities to connect with each other, meet the local community and strengthen the bonds of an emerging gift ecology in Altea and surroundings. You can propose your ideas for gatherings and other offerings!
