Empowering value based leadership throughout the world.

The Ahimsa 3.0 Fellowship is an integral programme to support transformational service leadership around the world, with the main intention of promoting Nonviolence, social justice, economic-political eco-social evolution, and environmental sustainability, all with the lenses of inter-spiritual inner transformation and the heart of Sarvodaya: the wellbeing of All. 

WHY?

The crisis of leadership is obvious at the economic and political levels. Our politicians/ leaders are too often found trespassing ethical and ecological red lines, causing suffering to millions through war, injustice, and lack of compassionate bravery, and/or through the destruction of natural wealth and diversity amongst other injustices. 

This generation of leaders is not responding (generally) to the growing awareness of the necessity and possibility of a different world, and at the same time, we don’t have enough structures and systems in place to support those who want to dedicate their life to the service of nature and humanity. 

Now more than ever we need to support a different type of leadership, servant leadership, or compassionate leadership, that is rooted in the pursuit of happiness for all, through the means of personal, group and systemic transformation.

And this is why Ahimsa 3.0 is born.

HOW WE DO IT

We want to create a movement for transformative leadership that can shape the future of community, society and economy. And for this we work at three levels: 

• COMMUNITY:

We facilitate a network (Ahimsa Network) where we are able to support each other in many different ways, including all forms of capital. The community has a shared forum where we are able to share best practices, stories, insights… We also have regular calls where we can further deepen our global inspiration and collaboration.

• TRAINING:

We listen to the needs of the peace facilitators and design the training they need for their projects and their service career to go to the next level. We also offer our own training based on some of the most transformational value based leadership training around the world today.

• GRANTS:

We explore the idea of ‘unconditional giving’, giving grants that allow the peace and community activists and facilitators to at least work part time in the project of their dreams. Our idea is to empower them to be self-sufficient over time, so one day they can organically let go of the grant, knowing that this will benefit the next grantee.

HOW DO THE GRANTS WORK?

Us or one of our partner organizations recommend people who are working within the principles of compassion and nonviolence in a transformative way. 

From the nominees, a committee allocates the first grants, and once you are selected we work together to empower each other so we can soon help yet another generation of compassionate leaders. When one decides to let go of the grant, they can still be part of the Ahimsa Network (and keep benefiting and offering), and some of the training. When you are an active grantee, you will get a local estimate (adapted to your context) to be able to dedicate part time to serve your inner transformation/ and or projects.  

We look for nominees in different continents, especially in areas where the need for transformational leadership is more obvious. 

WHAT ARE THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE FELLOWS?

• • Maintain a focus on Inner Transformation & Service.
  • Connect with the feeling of service to all (Sarvodaya).
  • Engage in a process/project that embodies «Being The Change».
  • Integrate different visions of spirituality, respecting diversity. 
  • Be part of a project that is already developing succesfully.
  • Be in the path of Nonviolence and peace facilitation.
  • Attend regular calls to share with the community and participate in the forums. 

VALUES

Non-violence: Integral non-violence is a principle that pervades all aspects of life, with a focus on minimizing reducible suffering of all sentient beings. Integral non-violence includes reflecting, feeling, acting and being, in a constant pursuit of the wellbeing of all (Sarvodaya). 

Economical-political evolution: all around the world there are people and projects who have the potential to transform paradigms and engage society in the next level conversation for collective wellbeing. We want to support such people and projects, who might enlighten our futures and bring about the changes society needs. 

Environmental Sustainability and Love for all beings: Our idea of sustainability goes beyond sustaining systems, and includes our love for all sentient beings, whose suffering we also want to reduce. Today’s uncompassionate systems with animals pose a challenge to our own humanity and call us to a revolution of love that goes beyond our own species. 

Inner transformation: Some of the main challenges of social organizations today are connected with the lack of focus on inner transformation. We want to support people and projects that consider the need to ‘be the change they want to see in the world’, highlighting the importance of inner coherence and outer explorations. 

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for people who are setting foot/ are on a journey of service and inner transformation, that can manifest through one or many of these fields:

• Peace activists
• Restorative justice practitioners
• Meditators 
• Community activists
• Educators
• Volunteers at heart
• Politicians
• Generosity Entrepreneurs
• Think tank innovators 
• Connectors/ Convieners

HOW CAN I JOIN?

Grantees: Anybody that resonates with the above can contact us, although our main points of contact in the different countries will be local organizations.
